Latest Updates from Our Project:

Progressing Nicely
over 4 years ago – Wed, Aug 25, 2021 at 03:18:02 PM

Hey everyone,

Some of you requested an update, so while we don't have much new to report yet, I will tell you where things are at right now.

Edits were made and approved for the second half of issue 4, so those last pages are being inked now.

The first half has been sent to a flatter, so issue 4 is moving along quite well.

Lisa still has a few pages to lay final colors in for issue 3, and then she'll move right into issue 4.

Nothing new to show this time, but that's where we're at. We'll keep you posted as soon as there's news to report!

Thanks for your patience and understanding, and we'll talk sooner rather than later!

over 4 years ago – Fri, Jul 23, 2021 at 04:33:58 PM

Hey everyone!

We have an update for you with some brand new colored pages for issue 3!

Before I get to that, though, I wanted to let you know we have another project currently live! It's a supernatural superhero book and we hope you check it out!

As a past backer of ours, if you back this new campaign at a PHYSICAL level, we'll give you a FREE pack of Celestial Falcon trading cards!

New Cover by ALEX CORMACK!

CHECK IT OUT ON KICKSTARTER HERE!

NEW COLORED PAGES!

Ok, as promised, here are some new colored pages from Pneumatic Cases #3!

It's the quieter scenes of the issue, but is basically the lead up for it all breaking down!

We'll have more pages soon, and Clay will be switching in the fully colored pages soon as well!

As for issue 4, we are going over the second half of the book's art for edits, but things are moving along nicely there as well!

More soon!

Progress Report
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jul 09, 2021 at 02:29:33 PM

Hey everyone!

I just noticed it had been a little over a month since my last update, so I wanted to clue everyone in on the progress of both issues.

First, I'll also let you know that we got moved into the new house, been there for about two and a half weeks, give or take. So while we're mostly settled in, we're still getting back into regular work patterns. And currently, we had to go out of town for some appointments I had to keep.

That said, we have been making progress on both issues!

ISSUE 3

This issue will be completely done by the end of next week!

Lisa is finishing up coloring on the issue and it will be good to go!

ISSUE 4

Half the issue has been flatted so far! We're waiting on the second half pencils currently, and as soon as issue 3 is done, Lisa and Clay (who is currently on vacation) will begin coloring and lettering that respectively.

So that's where things are currently at. I'll keep you posted on more progress and updates in the days and weeks ahead!

In the meantime, check out my buddy Will's latest launch for Crossover Division #2! If you like Dracula, and the Brides of Dracula, you'll love this issue!

When stories come to life and threaten to fracture reality beyond repair, only an English professor and a research librarian have the knowledge and smarts to save us all. Join Hank Wallace and Hector Ramirez in Crossover Division #2 as The Brides of Dracula attack! Hank & Hector must end the crossover with Stoker's Dracula or risk gothic horror overrunning the world.

What Comes Next?
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jun 03, 2021 at 04:18:53 AM

Hey everyone!

Sorry this is a day later than promised, but moving is a lot of work!

Anyway, let's kick this off with a sneak peek at...

ISSUE 4 INKS!

Rowel has inked about half of issue 4 already! So progress is moving along quite nicely!

We'll keep you updated as things progress.

THE FUNDS & SURVEYS

In about 11 days or so we should receive the funds from Kickstarter. At that point we should have issue 3 completely done (Lisa will resume finishing up the colors on the second half of the book as soon as we get settled into the new place). So we will be able to send the digital files out for that pretty quickly.

Soon after that, we will be sending out surveys through BackerKit.

If there's anything you weren't able to add-on during the campaign or you want additional copies and the like, you'll be able to do that via BackerKit.

If you've never used BackerKit before, it's pretty straightforward and I'll make a detailed post about it when the time comes. This will NOT come through Kickstarter, but to the email you use FOR Kickstarter.

DELIVERY TIME

When we launched this campaign, we did not intend to include Issue 4. Also, both Lisa and I were building the page and we didn't double check the estimated delivery time, so some tiers said one month, others said another. We apologize for that!

Anyway, adding Issue 4 obviously adds production time to the schedule, so while we think we'll be close to estimates, that might delay things a bit.  Again, we will keep you updated every step of the way.

MOVING IN

I mentioned updating you all on our move. We are moving all our big stuff in over the next couple of days, so hopefully we'll be all settled in by next week. We have to be out of our current residence by the 13th of June, so things should line up to where our move won't affect production and delivery of these issues much if at all!

ERRORED BACKERS!

And finally, thank you to all of you who have fixed your pledges. We still currently have 13 BACKERS that are errored, meaning you need to fix your payments, please!

Kickstarter, I believe, only gives you about a WEEK to do so. Meaning if you don't fix your pledge in the next few days, you WILL NOT be able to get your rewards!

Please message me if there are any issues you need to discuss with your pledge!

THANK YOU!

Once again, from the entire PC team, we are so grateful and can't thank you enough for the massive success of this campaign!

Not So Fair Tales (Plus an Update)
almost 5 years ago – Mon, May 31, 2021 at 08:14:29 PM

Hey everyone!

Man, we can't even express how thrilled we are with how well this campaign did! I mean it's beyond all expectations we had going in. To go over $12K and nearly 400 backers is just AMAZING!

So thank you for that!

There's so much to say, but I'm going to save the bulk of it for tomorrow. I'll tease a bit of that at the end, but before I do, I have to let you know about a campaign that JUST LAUNCHED!

It's an anthology that Lisa and I have a story in! It's called...

NOT SO FAIR TALES - A FRACTURED FAIRYTALE ANTHOLOGY

Not So Fair Tales is a 172 page hardcover fairy tale anthology collecting some of the best professional indie creators and new creators in comics. Many of these creators are seasoned veterans who have been on my wish list of collaborators for many years, and some are brand new to the field. This was my opportunity to bring them all together for an amazing project.

Our story is called "Labor of Love" and is a twist on the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.

This book is 100% complete and ready to print.

So go check it out today and help it have the strongest launch possible!

FIND IT ON KICKSTARTER HERE!

Coming up...

  • Rowel just sent in inks for issue 4, so I can show some of those.
  • Updates on what comes next (funds, surveys, etc.)
  • Moving update (we start moving in tomorrow)
  • How adding issue 4 affects delivery time
  • ERRORED BACKERS, FIX YOUR PLEDGES, PLEASE! (5% are errorred as of this post!)

Thanks again for an AMAZING campaign, we are so grateful and can't wait to share these issues with you!

Talk to you very soon!
