Hey everyone!
I hope you're having an awesome weekend. My wife and I just got our second Moderna shots today, so we're on our way to fully vaccinated after the two week period!
I wanted to post both to celebrate because...
Which is a huge milestone for us and is completely all thanks to all of you!
And to walk you through...
Adding Add-Ons
Several have had some issues with adding stuff on post-pledge, and since it can be confusing, I decided to do a quick tutorial using my wife's account to demonstrate.
She took some screen shots for me. For the purposes of this, she has backed at the Digital Deluxe tier, so she'll only be able to add DIGITAL add-ons, but the process is the same.
1. The First thing you do, if you are a backer, is scroll to the top of the page and you'll see the "You're a backer!" with this button below beside it, "Manage your pledge". Click that.
2. On the next screen, even if you DO NOT want to change your pledge, you still have to click "Change your pledge" to access the add-ons again. So click that.
3. This next one is where it gets really confusing because you're already a backer, right?! And you've already pledged!
If you are selecting a different tier, this is no biggie, but if you want to keep the same tier, it seems a little iffy, yeah? But have no fear, you are NOT DOUBLE PLEDGING. This won't charge you twice or double your pledge or whatever. It's just the clunky way to continue in the process.
So click "Pledge XX" on the tier you want (even if it's the same tier you already have).
4. That will gain you access to the elusive Add-Ons menu! Now, because Lisa has a digital reward, the ONLY add-on she can access is the one digital add-on we have. But if you're a backer at a physical level, the rest of the add-ons will show up here as well.
Then you just pick the ones you want and continue the checkout process like you normally would.
I hope that clears things up a bit. If Kickstarter is watching, a little less clunky way to add add-ons AFTER pledging would be a great upgrade to the platform! :)

And staying with the toon theme, next up is FOREST FOLK by Sam Noir's Raid Press!
This book is a gorgeous collection of 105 strips of the webcomic by the same name by Dax Gordine, and is described as "Sunday Funnies crashing headlong into Looney Tunes!"
The story is about a jokester know-it-all in Filburt the Fox, and a happy-go-lucky Elf in Thomas, who can conjure the solution to any problem with his magic drawing quill... MOST of the time!

Hello again, everyone!
We are thrilled to announce that ISSUE 4 IS HERE!

First up, the big cover reveals!
Cover A by Rowel Roque with colors by Lisa Moore!
With issue 4, they are back in London and Queen Victoria comes into play!
And the variant for this issue...
Cover B by Federico Sabbatini with colors by Andrea Celestini!
This one is by the current The Last Ember art team, and Federico's art was showcased in a recent issue of Amazing Spider-Man!
We wanted to lean into Annie's... more liberated demeanor a little bit here and also play up the Steampunk vibe quite a bit.

The Finished Print!

Hey everyone!
Just to let everyone know, we had a wonderful weekend getaway, a much needed time away and nice little private celebration of our Anniversary!
And upon returning, art was coming in from all aspects of Pneumatic Cases! Very exciting stuff!
THE FINISHED PRINT
Speaking of which, as you know, we unlocked a print for ALL PHYSICAL BACKERS by Rowel Roque, and Ryan Kroboth (Sunmaker) provided the coloring. And that piece is now complete!
Ryan took some liberties with the color scheme (with our ok, of course) and added some really nice textures to the background as well. We think it looks fantastic!
So if you're new to the campaign and you backed at a physical level, you're getting this print!
ISSUE 4
We will be making another update hopefully later today or tomorrow about the inclusion of Issue 4 with the promised new add-ons and reward tiers, so hold tight for that!

Last night, we hit our 10th Stretch Goal and now...
ISSUE 4 IS UNLOCKED!
What that means is that we will be making Issue 4 available in a number of ways!
How Can I Get Issue 4 Added?
- A DIGITAL copy will be going to ALL backers receiving rewards!
- There will be a new ADD-ON to add Issue 4 at a small extra cost.
- We will be rolling out NEW REWARD TIERS that include Issue 4!
When Is All This Happening?
Lisa and I are celebrating our 1-Year Wedding Anniversary this weekend (Sunday, May 16th to be exact), so we are going away for the weekend to celebrate!
But when we return, we'll be rolling all of this out, so STAY TUNED TO THESE UPDATES or our social media (@lastemberpress and @brantfowler) for info when they drop!
By the way, Rowel has already sketched a cover and turned in roughs/thumbs for 12 pages of Issue 4!

Before you go, I have to tell you about a wonderful comic I was very excited to support myself! That is Charlie McElvy's Spider-Squirrel #1 - A Buddy-Hero Multiversal Adventure!
As a Spider-Man fan, the name intrigued me. The art sold me. And the concept just sounded like so much fun I couldn't pass it up! It's a mix of Spidey, Invincible and Deadpool, how can you go wrong?
Spider-Squirrel and his BFF, Trash Panda, aren’t new to the superhero game, despite being college kids. The world is saturated with metahuman and non-metahuman superheroes and these two guys are just trying to make a name for themselves while enjoying the college life, dating, and eating their favorite pizza, tacos, and burritos. They're down-to-earth, as much as a couple of metahuman guys can be, and they’ve seen or read about it all before.
In particular, Spider-Squirrel has a familial legacy of heroism, and even enjoyed a time as his father’s sidekick – Nutsy the Tree Rat. Don’t laugh. It’s the best he could come up with at 12yrs old…
And the covers, OH the covers! I had a hard time choosing which cover I'd go with, so I got the standard, but then added this Reverse Cosplay gem:
Again, it just looked fun.
